2007 Impact factors (2008-06-18)
EDP Sciences, publishing partner of the scientific communities, has great pleasure to announce with great pleasure the publication of the 2007 impact factor, released on June 18, 2008 by the Journal Citation Reports, ISI Web of Knowledge. The impact factor, often abbreviated IF, is a measure of the citations to science and social science journals. It is frequently used as a proxy for the importance of a journal to its field.
19 of EDP Sciences’ journals are already classified and 2 others ("Fruits" and "Mécaniques and Industries") have just been accepted by the JCR.
We would particularly like to congratulate the journal "Veterinary Research" which, with an impact factor of 4.125, is classified n°1 (out of 133 journals) in its category (Veterinary Sciences).

- Astronomy & Astrophysics -> with an impact factor of 4.259, ranked 10/48 in the Astronomy & Astrophysics category.
