De Gruyter will host and distribute over 500 front list and backlist EDP eBook titles on degruyter.com, and will take on the global distribution of EDP Sciences print books outside of China.
EDP Sciences specializes in publishing monographs at master’s level or higher, undergraduate teaching texts, professional works, and popular science books as well as peer-reviewed scientific journals and conference proceedings. We are always exploring ways to further our mission of disseminating science universally and this partnership strengthens our ability to serve the global academic community,” commented Anne Simoneau, Director of Business Development at EDP Sciences.
France Citrini, Director of Books Publishing at EDP Sciences, added, “The partnership is an excellent fit with our books program, and will help to serve our researcher communities and the wider public in pursuit of high-quality peer-reviewed knowledge from trustworthy sources.”
“EDP Sciences is a premier French publisher with over 100 years’ experience in academic publishing,” said Steve Fallon, VP, Americas and Strategic Partnerships, De Gruyter. “Our cooperation confirms De Gruyter international expansion as a distributor of premier titles in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences and other STM, and once again proves that independent publishers can cooperate effectively for mutual benefit.”
