Topical Issue from EPJ D: a tribute to Professor Michael Brunger
- Details
We are pleased to announce a call for papers for EPJ D topical issue on “Electron and Positron Interactions and Their Applications”. The issue is intended to gather contributions from contemporary research on electron and positron interactions, both theory and experiment, and applications of these studies across areas such as, but not limited to, atmospheric modelling, materials characterisation, medical science, biological imaging and chemical processing.
This Topical Issue is a tribute to Professor Michael Brunger, Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. He specialised in atomic and molecular physics, where he focused on electron and positron collisions and their applications. He was a highly regarded international researcher, having published more than 350 refereed papers, and being recognised through Fellowships of the Australian Institute of Physics, the American Physical Society and the Institute of Physics (UK). More information.
The Guest Editors are Márcio Henrique Franco Bettega (Departamento de Fisica, Universidade Federal do Parana, Parana, Brazil), Dragana Maric (Center for non-equilibrium processes, Institute of Physics, Belgrade, Serbia), Ronald White (College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University, Australia), Sylwia Ptasinska (Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Notre Dame, USA) and Stephen Buckman (Research School of Physics, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia).
The deadline for submission is July 31, 2023.
