New ‘EDP Sciences: UN SDGs research collection’ on ScienceOpen
- Détails
In 2022, we proudly announced our membership of the UN SDG Publishers Compact. Since then, we have been working steadily on the ten commitments all signatories undertake. In particular, “Actively promoting and acquiring content that advocates for themes represented by the SDGs, such as equality, sustainability, justice and safeguarding and strengthening the environment.”
EDP Sciences: UN SDGs research collection on ScienceOpen
We have been working with ScienceOpen to curate and present research related to the SDGs and enable easy access to relevant articles, special issues, books and conference proceedings. The EDP Sciences: UN SDGs research collection has just been launched and is a multilingual collection of open access research. Initially, the collection features interdisciplinary research from seven journals, BIO Web of Conferences and E3S Web of Conferences and a number of open access books.
Research areas include aquaculture, social-ecological systems, renewable energy, photovoltaics, sustainability, natural sciences, life sciences, sociology, engineering and research processes, energy conservation and sustainability, policy issues and education for sustainable environment, climatology and soil sciences.
“We are delighted to work with ScienceOpen to disseminate content that is relevant to the SDGs,” commented Ariana Fuga, Senior Editor and SDGs Coordinator, EDP Sciences. “I believe strongly that publishers can make a vital contribution to the success of the SDGs. Besides the good quality, rigorous evaluation of our content, we are committed to working with authors, editors and reviewers to ensure published papers stemming from research that helps to advance one or more of the SDGs are properly identified and highlighted.”
