EDP Sciences and the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (SMAI) are delighted to announce that their Subscribe to Open (S2O) model for open access publication of six mathematics journals* has been successfully supported by the library community for another year, allowing the journals to continue to be published in open access in 2023.

We are pleased to inform you that Security and Safety is accepting submissions for its Special Issue on “Security and Safety in Physical Layer Systems”. The goal of this Special Issue is to share the advancements in the Physical Layer Systems (PLS) field and spreading the adoption in scenarios of B5G and 6G. Experts and scholars in relevant fields around the world will be invited to share their insights into the topics of security and safety in physical layer systems.

Security and Safety (S&S) is pleased to announce that it has been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The journal joins nearly 19,000 other high-quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals that meet DOAJ's strict criteria and are dedicated to promoting open access to scholarly and scientific content.

We are pleased to highlight the recently completed EPJ D topical issue on “Quantum Optics of Light and Matter: Honouring Alain Aspect”. The topical issue examines the discoveries, motivations, and continuing legacy of Alain Aspect, our longstanding colleague.

We are thrilled to announce that BIO Web of Conferences has been accepted for indexation in Scopus. BIO Web of Conferences is an open access publication series of conference proceedings dealing with all fundamental and applied research in the fields of Biology, Life Sciences and Health.

We are pleased to announce that Aquatic Living Resources has just been accepted into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) where it joins nearly 19 000 other high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals. The aim of the DOAJ is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly journals, thereby promoting their increased usage and impact. Indexation in the DOAJ means Aquatic Living Resources is in compliance with the open access policy of the DOAJ and meets all the strict criteria required for inclusion.

OCL - Oilseeds and fats, Crops and Lipids, a research journal published by EDP Sciences, has embraced transparent peer review and preprints by becoming a “PCI-friendly” journal, in partnership with Peer Community In (PCI). PCI is a non-profit, non-commercial platform that publishes recommendations of preprints after peer-review through specific communities of researchers. Nearly 100 journals are already on Peer Community In, including two EDP Sciences journals: Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena (the first PCI-friendly maths journal) and International Journal of Limnology.

We are delighted to announce that EPJ Nuclear Sciences & Technologies has been accepted for indexation in Scopus. EPJ N is included in the category “Energy” and the process of listing articles is underway. Scopus is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading science databases.

The International Journal of Limnology (IJL) has become a PCI-friendly journal and joins nearly 100 other such journals on Peer Community In (PCI). PCI is a non-profit, non-commercial platform that publishes recommendations of preprints after open peer-review through specific communities of researchers.
