OCL - Oilseeds and fats, Crops and Lipids, a research journal published by EDP Sciences, has embraced transparent peer review and preprints by becoming a “PCI-friendly” journal, in partnership with Peer Community In (PCI). PCI is a non-profit, non-commercial platform that publishes recommendations of preprints after peer-review through specific communities of researchers. Nearly 100 journals are already on Peer Community In, including two EDP Sciences journals: Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena (the first PCI-friendly maths journal) and International Journal of Limnology.

We are delighted to announce that EPJ Nuclear Sciences & Technologies has been accepted for indexation in Scopus. EPJ N is included in the category “Energy” and the process of listing articles is underway. Scopus is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading science databases.

Since it was launched in 2020 in collaboration with the International Publishers Association, the SDG Publishers Compact has helped to focus the minds and work of publishers on the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In September, we were pleased to announce a new, online series of Science Publishing and Scientific Writing Masterclasses for researchers and students in China. The series was coordinated by the Beijing office of EDP Sciences and designed to support anyone wishing to write and/or publish internationally. Researchers from institutions throughout China were invited to attend the Masterclasses which were broadcast via the SciChina video channel, the KouXiang Academic platform and the Scientific Cloud platform. The last of the four sessions took place on 13 December and we are delighted to report the series has been a resounding success.

EDP Sciences and TIB continue their successful cooperation
EDP Sciences and TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology have renewed their longstanding Open Access Agreement for another year, benefitting authors affiliated with academic institutions across Germany. The agreement continues to offer a 20% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) in 2023 and covers all EDP Sciences journals that are financed through the APC model.

Following a period of re-evaluation by Scopus, it has been confirmed that E3S Web of Conferences meets the content selection standards of Scopus. E3S Web of Conferences will therefore continue to be indexed in Scopus and any content that was paused during the re-evaluation period will be added to Scopus by the end of the year.
